twelve south

A Mac only accessory company! The Book Book is a clever reference to the past. At a local coffee shop a girl had what looked like a vintage book that was a bit oversized. I thought this must be some kind of old world book of cool illustrations or interesting stories, but then I saw a discrete zipper pull. Needless to say I was impressed with the level of craft and detail of the Book Book!

BLACKBIRD

I'm into the above piece from BLACKBIRD'S Fall / Winter 2010 Jewelry Collection. I feel like creating this piece might consist of a jig and some hammering after cutting the shapes out, since I do not think it was cast. I would love to know how this bangle was created. Anyways, though this piece is for men I feel it would be a great seller for the women's market, and it could definitely be played up by changing the plating or scale.

Write About Love!

While I don't listen to Belle and Sebastian... maybe I should give them a try. I love their photo contest topic, write about love! First place was awarded to Hannah Millard from Derbyshire. She has captured such a precious moment!

Puma's Mopion Cargo Bike

I am such a big fan of Puma's urban mobility line. They are going to introduce the Mopion Cargo Bike (second picture) in spring of next year. Designed for city dwellers who have heavy loads to cary around... groceries, etc. My favorite is the smaller cargo bike (top picture) since it's smaller, still holds your loads and folds! These bikes were designed for Puma by a Danish industrial design firm KiBiSi and a Danish bicycle manufacturer Biomega.
